Fueling Creativity
By Season
After 200+ episodes, the Fueling Creativity in Education Podcast has evolved, refining its format over ten-plus seasons. Initially featuring 10 interviews and two debrief episodes per season, we’ve expanded to 12 episodes, including four debriefs and a dedicated episode connecting insights to emerging scholarly research.
This shift allows us to diversify topics, dig deeper into insights, and strengthen connections between creativity research and educational practice. Co-hosts Matthew Worwood and Cyndi Burnett engage with leading voices in the field, reflecting on emerging trends and evolving conversations. As our podcast continues to grow, we remain committed to exploring new ideas and fostering meaningful discussions on creativity in education.
Season Three
Recorded in Fall 2021 and continuing into Spring 2022, Season Three of the Fueling Creativity in Education Podcast expands the conversation by exploring creativity through fresh lenses and future-focused questions. Across ten episodes, co-hosts Matthew Worwood and Cyndi Burnett welcome leading researchers and educators to discuss how creativity connects to teaching, learning, and innovation.
This season features Anna Abraham, the first guest to take us on a deep dive into the neuroscience of creativity, offering insights into how the brain supports creative thought and behavior. We also welcomed David Cropley, who challenged us to consider the rise of pre-emerging AI platforms—before the arrival of ChatGPT—and asked a powerful question about the future of creativity: What should humans focus on doing best, and what might AI eventually do better? Season Three also introduced Bea Leiderman, a guest regularly referenced on the show for her own creativity and her emphasis on the importance of starting small and working toward a high ceiling in teaching and learning.
