Fueling Creativity

Season 7

After 200+ episodes, the Fueling Creativity in Education Podcast has evolved, refining its format over ten-plus seasons. Initially featuring 10 interviews and two debrief episodes per season, we’ve expanded to 12 episodes, including four debriefs and a dedicated episode connecting insights to emerging scholarly research.

This shift allows us to diversify topics, dig deeper into insights, and strengthen connections between creativity research and educational practice. Co-hosts Matthew Worwood and Cyndi Burnett engage with leading voices in the field, reflecting on emerging trends and evolving conversations. As our podcast continues to grow, we remain committed to exploring new ideas and fostering meaningful discussions on creativity in education.

Season 7

Season 7 was our final season to feature only 10 interviews. It was recorded from Summer to late Fall 2023 and released in Fall 2023. It was also the first season sponsored by Curiosity to Create, launching with an episode featuring Curiosity to Create CEO Katie Trowbridge, who explored the critical connection between creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and learning—a theme that resonated throughout the season.

With Generative AI reaching its one-year milestone since ChatGPT’s release, many episodes examined its growing impact on creativity and education, sparking discussions about both its potential and challenges. This season also struck a chord with educators, featuring stories of record-breaking student projects and a highly anticipated return from Dr. James Kaufman, who shared the latest insights on creativity in the age of AI.
