After 200+ episodes, the Fueling Creativity in Education Podcast has evolved, refining its format over ten-plus seasons. Initially featuring 10 interviews and two debrief episodes per season, we’ve expanded to 12 episodes, including four debriefs and a dedicated episode connecting insights to emerging scholarly research.

This shift allows us to diversify topics, dig deeper into insights, and strengthen connections between creativity research and educational practice. Co-hosts Matthew Worwood and Cyndi Burnett engage with leading voices in the field, reflecting on emerging trends and evolving conversations. As our podcast continues to grow, we remain committed to exploring new ideas and fostering meaningful discussions on creativity in education.

Season 9

Recorded in late Spring and Summer 2024 and released in Fall 2024, Season 9 featured an exciting lineup of creativity experts and thought-provoking discussions. The season opened with Dr. Ruth Richards, a highly respected creativity researcher, who explored everyday creativity and how it manifests in students. Dr. Thalia Goldstein joined the podcast to discuss the connection between theater and education, while other episodes delved into the concept of schooling versus learning and the importance of cultural responsibility in education. One of the season’s highlights was an episode with Dr. Robert Sternberg, a long-time leader in creativity research and one of the top 100 psychologists of the 20th century—a true dream guest for Matt and Cyndi.
