Fueling Creativity

By Season

After 200+ episodes, the Fueling Creativity in Education Podcast has evolved, refining its format over ten-plus seasons. Initially featuring 10 interviews and two debrief episodes per season, we’ve expanded to 12 episodes, including four debriefs and a dedicated episode connecting insights to emerging scholarly research.

This shift allows us to diversify topics, dig deeper into insights, and strengthen connections between creativity research and educational practice. Co-hosts Matthew Worwood and Cyndi Burnett engage with leading voices in the field, reflecting on emerging trends and evolving conversations. As our podcast continues to grow, we remain committed to exploring new ideas and fostering meaningful discussions on creativity in education.

Season 2

Recorded in Spring 2021 through Summer 2021 and released later that year in the late summer and fall, Season Two of the Fueling Creativity in Education Podcast marked a period of continued experimentation as we explored different approaches to podcasting and worked toward finding our preferred format.

Despite being early in our journey, this season welcomed an incredible lineup of guests. We featured a “Double Espresso” episode with Jonathan Plucker, who unpacked the complexities of achievement gaps and gifted education. We also spoke with Sally Reis, who dug deeper into the relationship and history of gifted education and creativity while exploring the concept of multiple potentiality—a powerful idea for understanding the diverse talents of gifted learners. And we were thrilled to welcome international bestselling author Scott Barry Kaufman, who shared his insights on human potential, imagination, and rethinking how schools can nurture creativity.
